Dammit. Already missed a day. Not off to a very good start. I suddenly find myself awed and amazed by the dedication some people put towards their online journals. Perhaps this exercise will help to improve more than just my drawing ability.
Cheers!

Day 1
In the hopes of bettering myself as an artist I have decided to begin posting one digital sketch a day for the duration of one year. There are are two rules I have set.
RULE 1 - Each sketch must be done in 30 minutes
RULE 2 - When the time runs out whatever remains is my submission of the day, no editing and no rejection.
An artist who I respect once told me that the biggest obstacle most people face when creating art is that they judge themselves too harshly and often throw away ideas before realizing they are good.
This in large is the driving motivation behind this journal. I started today hoping to drawing something great, though in honesty I was a bit disappointed with the end product. About halfway in I decided I did not like the direction I was going so I cleared the page and started over with less than 15 minutes to develop a second idea. Not a lot of time.
The feeling of hesitation immediately underlined the very reason I have decided to start this journal. So here it is folks, my first submission. Hopefully I will actually stick to this and there will be more to come.
Cheers!
